Lingerie has three basic traditional colors: red, white, and black. White is typically deemed as the “innocent” color. You get married in a white gown and wear sexy white merry widow underneath. Red is the color of love and lust. It shows that your desires are hot and full of passion. Black is the most infamous of all lingerie colors. Black displays ecstasy and mystery, the rich deep color shows off any skin tone and always sets the mood. Choosing your favorite colors, or colors to match specific outfits is always a good idea as well.

There is no end to a lingerie wardrobe. The designs and materials are so different from dainty sensual lace and rose appliqués to stretch metallic lycra that halters up your breast. It’s best to have a variety of them. If you like a more flirty approach and are not so comfortable with your figure, there are short dresses, chemises, or baby dolls. Some are made from satin, silk and see through lace. If you are more of a tomboy, you can always try a boy short set. The main thing is that you feel comfortable in what you are wearing so you and your partner can continue to enjoy them.

You should always have bras, at least one black, white and a flesh colored. That way you have one for under any outfit and you’ll want to be able match your panties too. Lace and other embellishments bring out the sexual potential of your lingerie. They are no longer “bras and panties”, they become enticing items of sexual desire alluring your partner to come give you the attention you deserve.

One dress, or gown type is a must have. This way when you have a “bloated” moment, your sexiness doesn’t have to suffer. I prefer shorter gowns to longer ones because it’s easy to move more freely in them, but longer gowns have an elegance and mystique all of their own.

Teddies are beautiful but not everyone can wear a teddy. A cami or boy short set is always a nice addition. The cami comes in a variety of lengths from just bra coverage to the entire bodice. You can always use them to cover tummy imperfections as well and hot shorts help hide leg problems.

The corset, oh how amazing it is, it is a must for all women! It squeezes in the middle and pushes everything up to your breast. It does not matter if you are small on top, or large in the tummy, with the right corset you always wind up with full breasts and deep cleavage. The addition of a garter and thigh highs just enhances the sex factor even more. You and your partner will always want to see it on you.

So basic lingerie wardrobe should consist of

• 3 bra sets – white, black, and flesh toned

• Gown or dress – sexy yet mysterious

• Corset – pushes the limits of your breast

• Panties, boy shorts, thongs, and g-strings, enough to last at least a week or two

• Stockings or Thigh Highs.  About a dozen in a variety of colors should do

Make sure and keep your lingerie wardrobe up-to-date with seasonal additions. It’s so much fun to put on new pieces, whether it’s for your own pleasure or to surprise your partner with a new look!

1. Get yourself professionally sized. Go to a seamstress, or fine boutique and get yourself measured to be sure you are buying the right size for you. Also, remember with demi bras, go a cup size smaller to really pop those sister’s up! Knowing your size it going to make the difference between unsightly bulges and luscious enhancement.

2. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Having smooth silky skin is really the only accessory you need. Jewelry and heels are options, but silky skin is important. When you’re in a pinch, grab some honey and sugar from your pantry and mix them almost half and half. You want a thick paste. Wet your skin and then slather your honey/sugar mix on working in small circles. After you have rubbed every inch of yourself, let the shower get real steamy for a few minutes before you rinse off to allow the honey to seep in and moisturize your skin. You’ll be amazed at how soft and glowing your skin will look and feel!

3. Wear outfits that enhance your body shape. If you are pear shaped, wear babydolls that will flow over your curves without emphasizing them. If your legs are short, wear high cut thongs or french cut panties to give the illusion of longer legs. If you are stick straight with no curves, you’ll want something that flows and gives the illusion of a shape, and if you are voluptuous, you’ll want something a little more form fitting to show off your bodacious curves!

4. Keep up to date on your manicures and pedicures. Even if you never wear polish, make sure your nails are buffed out to a nice shine and that they are nicely trimmed. If your polish is chipping, take it off! That’s a personal pet peeve of mine, a little chipping is okay, but when you see more nail than you do polish, it’s really time to do something about that.

5. Body hair control! Shave, wax, pluck, or at the very least, trim! No one wants to see your pubes poking through the sides of your panties.

After you’ve addressed these five tips, whatever you put on is going to look great! Bra and panties do not have to match to look sexy, but try to keep them in the same fabric or color genre’ so they’ll compliment each other. Have fun and go outside your normal box when you shop for your lingerie next time! Better yet, ask your lover or best friend to pick some things out for you. You’ll be amazed at styles you never knew would look good on you until you try something that someone else picks out.

1. Built in bra. Many clothing pieces, such as formal gowns, bathing suits, and camis have bras built right into them. Many built-in cami “bras” really aren’t a supportive bra, but an elasticized additional cloth. If you need more support, wear a strapless bra with these. The elastic will help hold the strapless bra very nicely and you’ll have the lift and support you desire.

2. Bustier. Bustier’s aren’t considered bras, but they are in the same family and deserved mention. They are longer than bras, typically reaching down to the ribs or the waist. They push up the bust similar to a push up bra, but they do it by tightening against the upper midriff and forcing breasts to move up. Some bustiers can be worn as a cami or outer top, while other ones are meant as underclothing.

3. Convertible bra. This bra has removable and adjustable straps that are just a bit longer than regular straps. This gives you lots of options for strapless outfits, halter tops or racer back styles. They come in many cups styles and padding and/or underwire options.

4. Demi cup bra. This type of bra covers just the bottom half of your breasts. Many have a little padding, removable pads, and/or underwires to lift and enhance your breasts. This is great bra for plunging neckline outfits.

5. Full cup bra. This type of cup gives complete coverage and support, ideal for heavier breasts. They have all the options of the other bras in regard to padding/underwire, and convertible strap options.

6. Padded Bras. Padded bras can have just a light padding that helps to keep erect nipples from becoming noticeable, which is ideal for business environments. They can also come more heavily padded, adding up to a full cup size for those that wish to have fuller looking breasts without resorting to pills or surgery.

7. Peephole bra. There are strategic keyhole or slit openings in these bras to expose the nipples. Mostly used for intimate moments to increase your sexy quotient!

8. Push up bra. These bras have clever padding in the bottom/side portions of the cup to lift and push your breasts together for a fuller look and added enhancement. The padding is sometimes water or silicone to create an extra natural look and feel to your breasts.

9. Shelf Bra. A shelf bra doesn’t have cups, but it has a bit of a shelf that supports just the lower half of the breast, keeping the rest of the breast exposed. These are great if you are going for a bra-less look, or to watch your partner’s face when they see how sexy you look wearing one. These bras are also called “cupless bras”.

10. Sports bras. Sports bras are usually designed to look more like halter tops, but have maximum support for your breasts. Every woman who is physically active should make sure and wear a sports bra to protect the soft tissues of their chest.

11. Strapless Bra. Strapless bras are designed to fit without the support of straps. These are ideal for tube tops and strapless formal wear.

12. Underwire. An underwire is a piece of metal or plastic or even just reinforced material directly under the cup of the bra. This helps support the breasts and maintain the shape of the bra. Every cup style has underwire cups available and it’s really a matter of preference as to whether these work well for you or not.

It is very important to have gorgeous lingerie in the bedroom as well. Putting on something sexy before going to bed or becoming intimate can always enhance your sexual experience. Often lingerie can be used to fulfill a sexual fantasy, by not only wearing lavish gowns and sets but by wearing costumes. You can be a dominatrix maiden in a black vinyl corset hot shorts and boots one night or a cheerleader the next. There are always costumes to match your partner’s career also, like police women, doctors or nurses. Costumes come in a variety of materials from satin to vinyl, covering a wide range of sexual desires.

Owning sexy lingerie is full of many joys. Whether it’s enhanced sexual intimacy from a partner or just loving and spoiling yourself, there is lingerie for made for people of any shape and size.

The mystique wears off though and we continue to wear the dazzling, provocative, yet devilish garments due to expectations of our work and peers, and of course are own physical comfort. I don’t know about you, but my breasts are far too sensitive to go throughout the day without some sort of support.

Bras can be our nemesis and our best friend! When they fit well and look great, we feel self-confident and it’s fun to put them on knowing we’ll feel super all day. But if the fit or style isn’t right, well, we just don’t feel right and can start counting minutes when we get to take the blasted thing off and set our sister’s free!

The whole secret is in the fit first, style second. Many of us have not gone through the process of being properly fitted or measured. So, how are we to know what is the best bra for us? Get a tape measure and let’s find out!

First, measure yourself just below your breasts. That, my luscious ladies, is your bra size. Most bras come with some optional “play” in them. For example, if you are 35″, you can find bras that are 34″ that give you enough room, but lean towards the 36″ size for the best comfort.

Next, measure your breast at their fullest point. Be careful not so wrap the measure too tight or too loose, just a little firmness will do. Subtract that size from your bra size to get your cup size. If your breasts are one inch larger than your bra size, then you are an A cup, two inches a B, three inches a C, and so on. If you have a half size to calculate in, then you will probably want to go a size down. For example if you are an “A and a half”, stick with an A, as a B cup might be too roomy and not give you enough support.

Now that you know your size you are almost set. The next thing to do is pick the styles of bras that will work best for you. You will need a good assortment as different bras work best under particular outfits, such as sports bras to wear jogging or to the gym.
